We had a such a fabulous time- as always, as this very organised impressive show. It  was our busiest show to date.

This year there were more lifestyle items , including our few bits of furniture. We sold most of all our bigger items, chair and table and had a constant stream of keen vintage hunters! We had a new bag collection and lots of new vintage table cloths.(see pics)

We had vintage welsh blankets and bolts of vintage wool.Plus a steady stream of bag sales, from our vintage fabric totes. The whole atmosphere was swinging! with the DJ in total control of a steady play of nostalgic tunes ,and the clink of vintage crockery in the delightful Tea Rooms....if you missed it this April be sure to check out the NEXT one- Sunday,September 9th.

It was Pretty chilly on this December saturday, so hence we sold quite a few of our Handmade knit hats and gloves, plus neck warmers too!

A slow start to the morning but picked up before lunch and overall a surprisingly good day with sales increase on our affordable Vintage ceramic pieces. Our Handknit corsages and hair clips proved popular too, as customers seem to be drawn to the rainbow of colours.

The bargain fabric basket , a firm favourite was nearly empty by 4.30 pm .Our temporary sales offer proved to be a winner and we cleared alot of stock, which we had plenty of!!

This December show was our busiest ever! We added alot of lower priced vintage ceramics that went down well in this on- going recession.

  • We took time out from RC to visit the Amazing new Rainbow warrior III and we were not disappointed

The que was about half a mile long but worth the wait. There were lots of stalls and activities going on while we awaited our call -well organised. There was also an ongoing screened music enhanced film, a fast poignant reminder of what has been acheived in the past 40 years. On site, large dominant canvas Images were displayed showing all the horrendous hunted whale killings, and pictures of the pioneers of Green Peace in 1971.

Once it was our turn , we climbed aboard  and found it was quite apparent the extent of high specifications that Green Peace had demanded when commissioning this magnificate ship.

I couldnt resist taking a quick photo of the heavy textured steel steps aboard. Securing and surefooting the crew in a any hurrican storm ,or worse, a quick escape route from gunfire.

Well worth the visit.. you can view their video history on Youtube.

ORSETT HALLis a wonderful place to hold any function, and the Lady Taverners childrens charity put on a spectacular event as always.

We love the grounds and historic buildings set in this leafy part of Essex. Our Hand made products this time were displayed in our sinature RC boxes with lots of tissue paper.AS seen in the photos we had a stunning 3pc pink newborn set -60% cashmere mix.Plus our quirky stress/ beanbags-suitablefrom 3- 103 yrs old! Good gift for any family member or just handy for juggling those stressful office days..good way to calm down and  carry on , plus strangely theraputic...
