This well designed table is a delightful piece.   era : approx. dates 1860-1920

I believe it has been retored before we got it, maybe in a workshop ?
 
The top tray surface rests on supports ( one is a bit chipped see photo) .
Very easy to move  around & tray surface lifts off & can easily be stored away.
 
However, this is one  side table you may want to show off.  
 
The wood is  solid oak, part pine & oak trims on the top surface & plywood under the tray base.
The stylish rivets on the foldable legs are a bit loose.
