NOW SOLD - An immaculate, stylishly shaped Mortlock top hat. A mixure of animal fur/ silk.Commonly made from beaver pellets & taffeta silk trim.Inside of the hat is a small printed label with crown, a sign of quality.
See photo.At the foot of this label it also includes a small no. 7, this is the size of the hat. 
The hat comes with a subsantial leather hat box, lined in taffeta unrestored with wear & tear mainly to the outside of the box, as to be expected due to age.Possibly early 20th C.

Diameter inside hat- the shape is oval , so 15cm x 19cm.
Size 7 :  approx. 56/7cm circumfrence of adult head size.
